About UK Glass
History
Established in 2007 UK Glass Management is a 100% black owned women empowered and managed enterprise. The organisation’s background stems back to a company called NN Auto Glass, established in 1989 in the South of Johannesburg. The organisation faced challenges in obtaining business from the corporate sectors, therefore the co-owner resigned in 2007 and followed her passion for BEE transformation on the DTI MITF Forum to assist other small independent businesses nationwide.
What sets us apart from our competitors is that we are the first women-empowered company that has entered the motor/building glass market space since 1989. We are not a franchise, our aim is to grow the business of our network of independent level 1 service providers and fitment centres creating entrepreneurs by offering value-added service to our partners, including competitive pricing.
Vision
To be the first choice service provider to our partners, Insurance, Government, corporate sectors to succeed and realise our vision of growth in our organisation and our national network of independent small medium enterprises.
Vision Forecast
By making our vision a reality we encompassed youth development, employment and small business growth by:

- Ongoing mentorship
- Support courses for our glass fitment technicians
- Corporate branding
Objectives
From a business perspective, small businesses play an important role in the development of the community – first by providing employment to the local residents and, secondly, by being a major contributor to the economic and social development of the community and the country.
Aims
UK Glass aims to develop, support and grow small and medium enterprises and, in so doing, fill the gap by making a positive contribution to the reconstruction of the South African economy. Any business has to maximize profits in order to survive and should not exploit any business partners and the community by escalating pricing.
